Hey everyone! This is a special day for me. I've been waiting 10 years to release this album. This is the culmination of all my years in music school, countless friendships, and my best efforts at songwriting over the years. I started writing and composing these songs 10 years ago, and it's taken this long to record, mix, master and get the courage to release this album. In a way it feels appropriate to cap 2020 by putting out this album.
The songs were written and composed for the orchestra/band from the standpoint of what would it sound like if a contemporary songwriter wrote music for an orchestra similar to how Sinatra and Nat King Cole did in the earlier part of the century. I wrote every note for every instrument, but more incredibly I was so lucky and blessed to have each musician agree to play the music for me, to play shows and to come into the recording studio.

I've learned many lessons from this project and I wish in some ways that I had released this music earlier. And yet in many ways I wasn't able or ready to release it till now. In many ways my songwriting has changed and in some ways, with some of these songs being 10 years old, the album serves as a time capsule to how I felt and thought as a slightly younger man. Yet some of these songs could have been written yesterday. I hope these songs bring you joy and inspiration and perhaps contemplation. It's been the honor of a lifetime to work with everyone who made this music possible. That is why I have painted each of their names on the album artwork. With deep gratitude and thankfulness to everyone who made this album possible and to each of you who listen to it, I hope you enjoy this record. - Danny
